Shenean Van Heerden
I got approached by one of the PT that Shenean was looking for a PT as the PT had no space for Shenean as she was fully booked, i was extremely GRATEFUL that the PT did that. Shenean informed that she had lower back problems and was overweight plus she mentioned she was vegan due to personal choice and i was fine with that. Her Goal was to loose 10 KG. Shenean signed up in November 2019 and we started. As we proceeded she loved to say the words "I CANT" or "I DONT WANT TO DO THIS OR THAT" lol, its ok as I had to build up her mental strength and mentor her BEFOR. For 4 months weight stagnated but she got stronger. Pandemic hit and took Shenean experienced a financial cut but I was still there and still mentored her. A benefit I offered is that my athletes can train as many times and for as long as they want WITHOUT price increase, I gave them R8000 of service and I charged them R1500 and I was happy, this is what I do I give more than I receive and I will always be like that, Shenean got to her goal weight of 55kg in 6 Months and wanted to focus more on getting stronger as she achieved her GOAL weight. Before the pandemic Shenean squatted 20k, benched 15kg and deadlifted 25kg. Shenean never had weighs and worked with bodyweight training she canceled her gym subscription. I asksd if she was happy and said yes She loves it, she's safe, she was happy, it was at her home, no fees, no waiting for equpiment or have to clean up after another person, she built build her own in a garage. Once I took Shenean onto a power training mentoring she managed to pull off a 30KG Bench Press, Squatted 50kg for 1 rep and deadlifted 75kg for 1 reps. Plus i got blamed LOL as Shenean went of being vegan and onto a guided meal plan which consists of eggs, chicken and meat lol. Her Body was craving it and due to her going on a balanced meal plan that's how she managed to get stronger as protein builds muscle. She did however manage to put weight back on which was the changing of the meal plan and also she managed to put on muscle as muscle weighs more than fat so on average she put 5 to 7 kg of muscle within 1 year and the rest is water and abit of fat. She did mention that bread is a weak food lol so she would eat loads of it.(Ill discipline kicked in lol) Like I mentioned we all go through and no one is perfect.
Once sheneans finances were back on track she informed me that she would pay me more and it was due to my services, she was seeing results she was happy and she knew that this is my lively hood( Such a wonderful and kind hearted athlete) Shenean stayed with me for 2 years, first year was to drop the weight off build on her mental strength as that was her biggest enemy and the year of 2021 she added muscle and got stronger that's when I started the coaching as i enhanced her knowledge, first year mentoring second year coaching. Her achievements came from ONLINE COACHING. What A WARRIOR.
